Starting Little Bells
There will be several stages in ensuring that your child is happily settled into our Nursery. Everybody feels nervous in a new situation and we all need a friendly person to help make us feel comfortable. The first stages to build up relationships to help us do this include:
Getting to know your Key Workers
Each child will be assigned a key person. Their role is to help ensure that every child’s care is tailored to meet their individual needs, to help the child become familiar with the setting, offer a settled relationship for the child and build a relationship with their parents.
Visiting the Nursery
Unfortunately, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to have visits to the nursery. We do however, have a video tour of the nursery so you and your child can sit together to watch.
Home visits
Unfortunately, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to undertake Home Visits at the present time.
First Days
Not everybody starts together to allow key workers to give new children as much individual attention as possible at the start. You are the experts in knowing your child; we are the experts in settling children into Nursery.
Keep us Informed
Please continue to talk to us and tell us anything new or different about your child’s circumstances. You can also follow your child's learning journey through Tapestry. (See links)
