Belvidere Primary School

Good Afternoon Parents & Guardians

Happy New Year and welcome back to the start of 2026!
I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break. Last term was incredibly busy and full of memorable moments, and I want to thank you for your continued support in making it such a success. This term promises to be just as exciting, with lots of opportunities for our children to learn, grow, and shine.
This week saw the start of Year 3 swimming lessons, and what a fantastic start it has been!
The children showed plenty of effort and enthusiasm, and it was a real pleasure to accompany them to the pool. They represented our school beautifully, demonstrating excellent manners throughout. Well done, Year 3!
Although it’s only the first week back, our KS2 dodgeball team has already been out competing! They performed brilliantly at Meole Brace Primary and secured an impressive second place. A huge thank you to Miss Davies for accompanying and coaching the team – we are so proud of their efforts.
Our House Cup competition is closer than ever! Points are announced during our weekly Star of the Week assemblies, and every single point counts. Children can earn Dojo points for a wide range of things, from hard work to a positive attitude. Please encourage your child to keep giving their best – it could make all the difference in the final standings!
Here are the latest totals:
Lawley (Yellow): 30,609
Stiperstones (Blue): 31,616
Wrekin (Green): 31,656
Caradoc (Red): 31,707
It’s incredibly close, so keep up the great work, everyone!
Reception Applications – Deadline Approaching
A quick reminder that the cut-off date for applications for September Reception pupils is January 15th. If you have any friends or family who are still undecided about where to send their child in September, please do encourage them to come and have a look around our friendly school. Thank you for your support in spreading the word!
Thank you for your continued support.
Have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to another fantastic term ahead.
Warm regards,
Mr G. Jones

Belvidere Stars of the Week

A huge well done to our Stars of the Week!

Jewellery

Please can we remind parents that children who have their ears pierced should only be wearing studs to school.

No other jewellery should be worn in school.

Arbor Balances

Please can we remind parents that Arbor balances are kept up to date.

We truly value the flexibility we currently offer, allowing families to pay in arrears. However, if outstanding balances are not cleared promptly, we may be left with no choice but to move to a pre-payment system, as many other schools have already done.

We understand that times are challenging, and we are more than happy to discuss payment plans or offer support where needed. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office in confidence if you require assistance.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
