Belvidere Primary School
-
Dear Parents and Carers,It has been another incredibly busy and exciting week at Belvidere, with a range of enriching opportunities for our pupils to enjoy.A particular highlight has been the number of history-focused trips taking place, all very kindly organised by Mrs Kennard and heavily subsidised by the FOBs—our sincere thanks go to them for their continued support. On Tuesday, our Year 5 pupils visited Battlefield in Shrewsbury. The children gained a great deal from the guided tour and returned full of fascinating facts—none more impressive than learning that archers could fire up to 20 arrows in just 60 seconds (thank you to Colby for sharing this gem of information!).On Wednesday, our Year 2 pupils completed their final swimming session. They have shown great progress and enthusiasm—well done to all involved. Swimming lessons will now move to Year 6 from next week.Thursday saw our Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils enjoy a visit to RAF Cosford. The children had a wonderful time exploring the wide variety of aircraft and making the most of the adventure playground. It was a fantastic day for all.Looking ahead to next week, we are very much looking forward to Sports Day on Tuesday afternoon. Gates will open at 1:00pm for families and will close promptly at 1:15pm. We will be carefully monitoring the weather forecast and aim to make a decision early on Monday should there be any need to cancel, to provide families with as much notice as possible. The event will follow the same format as last year, based on the very positive feedback we received.Further ahead, I would like to make you aware of our upcoming Summer Fair, which will take place on Friday 26th June.To support this event, we are inviting children to come to school in their own clothes on Friday 19th June in exchange for a donation item that matches their house colour. These will be used to create raffle hampers:
Caradoc – Red
Lawley – Yellow
Wrekin (current leaders) – Green

Jewellery
Please can we remind parents that children who have their ears pierced should only be wearing studs to school.
No other jewellery should be worn in school.
Arbor Balances
Please can we remind parents that Arbor balances are kept up to date.
We truly value the flexibility we currently offer, allowing families to pay in arrears. However, if outstanding balances are not cleared promptly, we may be left with no choice but to move to a pre-payment system, as many other schools have already done.
We understand that times are challenging, and we are more than happy to discuss payment plans or offer support where needed. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office in confidence if you require assistance.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
