Belvidere Primary School

Good Afternoon Parents & Guardians

Thank you so much to everyone who attended our Christmas Fair last week! It was wonderful to hear how much you all enjoyed it. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to be there in person, but the photos and promotional video look absolutely fantastic. I’ve shared a couple of pictures at the bottom of this letter for you to enjoy.

This week, we’ve seen a significant amount of pupil absence due to illness. Please ensure your child is fully recovered before returning to school. This helps us keep germs to a minimum and ensures we have a full complement of pupils and staff ready for the pantomime and Christmas play season—which will be upon us before we know it!

Speaking of the Christmas play, our first rehearsal is on Monday. We’ll be walking to the church, and the forecast is for wet weather, so please make sure your child brings a coat. The show simply must go on!

On Tuesday this week, we were treated to a wonderful violin and keyboard concert from pupils who are learning these instruments. If your child is interested in lessons, please contact the office, and they will guide you through the booking process.

Looking ahead, we’re planning to launch a new school website and purchase a new school sign. To mark this exciting development, we’d love our community to choose a new school motto! Keep an eye out for the survey with three options chosen by staff, and make sure you register your vote by next Friday.

Finally, a quick reminder: we are a nut-free school. Some packed lunches have included products that are not safe for children with allergies. Please check all items before putting them in your child’s lunchbox.

Thank you for your continued support and have a wonderful weekend!

Warm regards,

Mr G. Jones
Headteacher

Flu immunisation

The Immunisation team will be visiting school on Wednesday 10th December to deliver this years nasal flu vaccination to those children whose parents have given consent.

If you wish for your child to receive the vaccine and missed the online consent form, please speak to the office who will be able to provide you with a paper copy.

Jewellery

Please can we remind parents that children who have their ears pierced should only be wearing studs to school.

No other jewellery should be worn in school.

Arbor Balances

Please can we ask that all outstanding balances are cleared in full by Friday 12th December.

Please can we remind parents that Arbor balances are kept up to date.

We truly value the flexibility we currently offer, allowing families to pay in arrears. However, if outstanding balances are not cleared promptly, we may be left with no choice but to move to a pre-payment system, as many other schools have already done.

We understand that times are challenging, and we are more than happy to discuss payment plans or offer support where needed. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office in confidence if you require assistance.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
