Good Afternoon Parents & Guardians

It was wonderful to hear all about the amazing Hindu temple visit on Monday. The children returned to school full of excitement, having clearly enjoyed every moment of the experience. Having visited the temple with my previous school and seen firsthand the benefits and rich learning the children gain, I am delighted to share that this trip will now be booked annually for our Year 4 pupils.

It has also been a week filled with music and performance. On Tuesday, our keyboard players and violinists took to the stage, performing beautifully for the Year 4 pupils as well as their own families. Then on Thursday afternoon, it was the turn of the beginners’ recorder groups — although it’s safe to say they are beginners no longer! Finally, the week was brought to a close in spectacular fashion with Belvidere’s Performance Club and their fantastic rendition of The Greatest Showman.

Music continues to be one of the real strengths of our school, and the confidence shown by our performers on stage is something that can only grow through opportunities like these. Thank you to all who were able to attend, and of course to our wonderful music teachers for providing our children with such an inspiring platform to showcase their talents.

With just one week to go until the Easter break, it certainly feels as though the year is flying by. Next Friday brings our Easter Disco — the final act of a wonderful term.

Year 4 Temple Visit

The children had an amazing morning at the Balaji Temple.

There was so much to see. They visited a variety of shrines and with the help of their group leader, the children and staff gained a deeper understanding of this ancient faith.

The surroundings were peaceful and relaxing and the buildings were beautiful.

A lovely morning of enjoyment and learning.

The children were a credit to the school.

Headlice

We’ve recently had a few cases of head lice in school.

Please can we ask to take a moment to check your child’s hair and treat if needed.

Regular checks help us prevent them from spreading.

Jewellery

Please can we remind parents that children who have their ears pierced should only be wearing studs to school.

No other jewellery should be worn in school.

Arbor Balances

Please can we remind parents that Arbor balances are kept up to date.

We truly value the flexibility we currently offer, allowing families to pay in arrears. However, if outstanding balances are not cleared promptly, we may be left with no choice but to move to a pre-payment system, as many other schools have already done.

We understand that times are challenging, and we are more than happy to discuss payment plans or offer support where needed. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office in confidence if you require assistance.

There will be a new menu from 13th April.

As per Mr Jones' letter, meals will now be £2.75 per day.

First Aid Messages

If your child has required first aid in school, we will send a message on Arbor to report the accident and any treatment (if required) given by 3.30pm.

Should we feel that a telephone call is required/more appropriate, then instead of an Arbor message, we will contact you to talk to you.

Breakfast & Afterschool Club

The booking form for next term is now available.

From next term, due to staffing implications, Friday's breakfast club will start from 7.30 and not 7am as stated on the form. This will continue until the end of the academic year.

Please complete and return to admin@belvidere-pri.shropshire.sch.uk no later than Monday 23rd March 2026.

Please ensure accounts are settled in full as soon as possible and no later than Friday 20th March (exception to this is those that use the tax free childcare account for wraparound care). Places are not guaranteed if there are outstanding balances.

A reminder, our Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am - 8.30am (Monday - Friday)

Children can be dropped off by coming to the office and ringing the bell.

Afterschool Club runs from 3.15pm - 5.30pm (Monday - Thursday) 3.15pm - 5.00pm (Friday)

To collect your child from afterschool club, please can parents/carers come to Reception and ring the bell on the wall and your child/ren will be brought to you.

PACC’s Healthy Lives Holiday Programme

We have been asked to share the following information from PACC;

PACC’s Healthy Lives Holiday Programme is now in its 4th year! Healthy Lives offers a variety of activities to support physical and mental wellbeing, providing children and young people with SEND in Shropshire with opportunities to create new friendships, catch up with friends, try new activities and be active. This year we have an increased offer running through all school holidays.

Please note a Parent Carer or PA will need to attend sessions.

Easter and School Half-Terms (Shropshire Term dates) - Activity sessions for 8-14 year old's and 14-25 years old's.

Summer- Activity sessions for 8-14 year old's and 14-25 years old's, all- age family activities, increased offer for children and young people with complex needs.

Nut free School

A reminder that we are a nut free school. We have children with severe allergies so we ask that nut products are not brought in lunch boxes or for snacks.
