Good Afternoon Parents & Guardians

I hope you’ve all had a fantastic week!
What a brilliant way to head into the weekend with our very first Colour Run. We’re looking forward to an afternoon filled with fun and laughter—although I do hope you’ve stocked up on washing powder… you’re going to need it!
Please may we remind you that any photos taken during the Colour Run must not be shared on social media, as some children do not have the necessary permissions for their images to be published online.
This week marked the beginning of our sporting opportunities for pupils. On Thursday, a group of Year 5 children enjoyed a kickboxing taster session at Ashton’s Kickboxing. They returned full of excitement and positive energy from the experience.
On the music front, our drumming, keyboard, and violin lessons are now in full swing. If you’d like your child to take advantage of the opportunity to learn a musical instrument, please contact our admin team.
Looking ahead to next week:
  • Tuesday: Mr Teague will be leading a Phonics Workshop for Reception and Year 1 parents. This session will demonstrate how reading is taught at Belvidere and how you can support your child’s learning during this crucial stage of development.
  • Thursday: Mrs Duncan and Mr Morris will host a Reading Workshop for KS2 parents (Years 3–6). The presentation will offer practical tips to support your child’s reading and encourage a love of books at home.
  • A quick reminder for Year 5 parents about the upcoming Arthog Residential Visit, which will take place from Tuesday 1st September (a PD day for all other pupils) to Friday 4th September. I’ll be holding an information meeting for pupils and parents/carers at 6pm on Thursday 2nd October.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Warm regards,

Mr G. Jones

Belvidere Stars of the Week

A huge well done to our Stars of the Week!

Arbor Balances

Please can we remind parents that Arbor balances are kept up to date.

We truly value the flexibility we currently offer, allowing families to pay in arrears. However, if outstanding balances are not cleared promptly, we may be left with no choice but to move to a pre-payment system, as many other schools have already done.

We understand that times are challenging, and we are more than happy to discuss payment plans or offer support where needed. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office in confidence if you require assistance.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Headlice

We have some 'unwanted' visitors in school.

Please can we ask that you check your children's hair and treat if necessary

Healthcare / Medical Conditions

Healthcare plan forms have been sent home to those children who we are aware of a medical condition.

Please can we ask that these forms are completed and returned no later than Monday 29th September once received so we can update our records accordingly.

Thank you to those that have already returned them.

If your child no longer has a medical condition, please let the office know by emailing admin@belvidere-pri.shropshire.sch.uk
