Welcome back everyone—we are officially into the final term of the academic year!
The Friday before Easter saw Disco Daddy arrive at Belvidere, giving our pupils the perfect opportunity to dance the term away and begin the Easter break on a real high. It was a fantastic event and thoroughly enjoyed by all. A huge thank you to The Friends, who continue to provide our children with such memorable experiences, despite their own busy lives. We are incredibly grateful for all your efforts.
During the Easter break, Harriet and Madeline successfully completed their 10K Challenge in support of Coeliac UK. Not only did the girls record very impressive times, but they also raised over £450 along the way. A fantastic achievement—well done to both of them!
Another superstar fundraiser is our very own Imogen in Year 4, who organised an Easter trail for children and their families to enjoy over the holidays. Through her efforts, she raised an amazing £165, bringing her total fundraising amount for the year to an impressive £320.
It is truly heartwarming to hear about our pupils supporting worthwhile causes in their own time. Imogen, Madeline and Harriet’s determination and commitment make them wonderful role models and set an inspiring example for us all.
This week in the Headteacher’s Assembly, we explored the importance of self‑reflection. The children have been encouraged to take a moment at the end of each day to consider what has gone well and where improvements could be made. I also introduced the idea of marginal gains—the concept that if everyone puts in just 1% more each day, the overall impact can be huge.
On Thursday, our Year 6 Sports Leaders visited Harlescott to continue their Level Two training. I have been extremely impressed by their maturity, particularly in how thoughtfully they have designed activities to engage younger pupils during lunchtimes.
Also on Thursday afternoon, some of our Year 3 and 4 pupils had the opportunity to take part in a kickboxing workshop. The children returned having thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Looking Ahead
Next week, please try to log on to the Online Safety Course for Parents and Carers, delivered by West Mercia Police.

Please can we remind parents that children who have their ears pierced should only be wearing studs to school.
No other jewellery should be worn in school.
Arbor Balances
Please can we remind parents that Arbor balances are kept up to date.
We truly value the flexibility we currently offer, allowing families to pay in arrears. However, if outstanding balances are not cleared promptly, we may be left with no choice but to move to a pre-payment system, as many other schools have already done.
We understand that times are challenging, and we are more than happy to discuss payment plans or offer support where needed. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office in confidence if you require assistance.

Arthog September 2026
For those children that are going to Arthog in September (current Year 5 pupils), payments can now be made via Arbor. There is a choice to pay in full or in installments.
The balance must be paid in full by Tuesday 30th June to guarantee your child's place.
First Aid Messages
If your child has required first aid in school, we will send a message on Arbor to report the accident and any treatment (if required) given by 3.30pm.
Should we feel that a telephone call is required/more appropriate, then instead of an Arbor message, we will contact you to talk to you.
Breakfast & Afterschool Club
The booking form for next term is now closed.
If you require a place, please contact Mrs Craig in the office to see if there is any availability.
From next term, due to staffing implications, Friday's breakfast club will start from 7.30 and not 7am as stated on the form. This will continue until the end of the academic year.
Please ensure accounts are settled in full as soon as possible and no later than Tuesday 31st March (exception to this is those that use the tax free childcare account for wraparound care). Places are not guaranteed if there are outstanding balances.
A reminder, our Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am - 8.30am (Monday - Friday)
Children can be dropped off by coming to the office and ringing the bell.
Afterschool Club runs from 3.15pm - 5.30pm (Monday - Thursday) 3.15pm - 5.00pm (Friday)
To collect your child from afterschool club, please can parents/carers come to Reception and ring the bell on the wall and your child/ren will be brought to you.

Nut free School
