We hope that everyone had a lovely Half Term Break.
The children have had a good first week back in school.
As we are coming towards the end of the school year, please ensure that all outstanding payments for school meals and clubs are settled as soon as possible and at the very latest by Friday 1st July.
Ukefest
If your child is attending the Ukefest and you have not yet paid your £1 towards the cost of the coach, please can we ask that you do this as soon as possible.

A free training for event for parents on:
How to Cope When Your Child Can’t: How parents can help themselves and each other
will take place on 4th July 2022 at 5pm until 5.45pm. This is a free session and the link is below to join.
Picatale
We hope that the children have enjoyed using Picatale. Please remember, this does not replace the existing books that the children bring home.
Picatale is a library online for children to enjoy and develop their love of reading.

Severn Hospice Monkmoor
The Severn Hospice shop in Monkmoor has items of preloved uniform to purchase should you require any additional items of clothing.
They will also take donations of any uniform that your child/ren has grown out of - just pop into the shop to drop them off!
We are pleased that many children have had books from the shop - keep up the good work and don't forget to visit over the holidays for more books and to get your loyalty card stamped!
PSHE Lessons
As you may know, we are using a new PSHE programme in school. During this term, the topics will be ' Relationships' and 'Changes'. These topics will involve discussions about family, friendships and the body. In the KS2 classes, this will also begin preparing them for Sexual Health Education.

Holiday Requests
Please be aware that the Local Authority have advised schools not to authorise any holidays taken during the school term.
If holidays are taken during term time, our Education Welfare Officer has to be notified and action may be taken.

Please ensure that children arrive to school on time. Late marks are recorded for those that do not arrive to school at the correct time.

Summer Term Breakfast & Afterschool Club
We still have balances outstanding for last terms Breakfast and Afterschool Club, please ensure these are settled as soon as possible to guarantee your places this term.
The booking form for Breakfast and Afterschool Club is now closed.
Should you require an ad-hoc place, please contact the office and speak with Mrs Craig to see if we have availability.
ParentPay - Reminder
We have a number of outstanding balances for School Meals.
Please ensure these are settled as soon as possible.
School Meals need to be paid for in advance as the funds are to Shire Services and not to school.
If you have outstanding payments for school meals, please ensure payment is made in full otherwise we will ask for children to bring a packed lunch until payment is made.
PE Days

Children are to come into school in their PE Kit for the day. As a reminder, the PE kit is a red t-shirt, black leggings/shorts/jogging bottoms.

Swimming
The swimming pool have informed us, that any pupil wearing earrings will not be permitted into the pool. Therefore, we ask that earrings are removed before coming into school.

If children bring a packed lunch to school, please ensure there are no foods that could cause a choking hazard or items are cut up to make them more manageable.
