  We provide a stimulating and thought provoking Design and Technology Curriculum, based on as many local aspects as possible. Pupils will develop skills using a range of equipment.

  Pupils will explore and paint like artists. They will develop an appreciation of art and different techniques used 

  Pupils will Know the work of artists, particularly British origins. 

  

• Computing
  Computing

  Each year pupils will create a video of some of their learning experiences. They will develop coding skills and explore the world of Green Screen, Animation. They will be how to stay safe online following The Bells Eway

  Pupils will have opportunities to: 

  Reading anything and everything, for pleasure, for knowledge and wonder 

   Dream like novelists and poets, Investigate like journalists ,perform like Actors 

  Develop knowledge of the world of Grammar , Develop spelling strategies for life

  Our pupils will be able to use geographical equipment, locate countries and regions. They will develop an understanding of the features of the local area and our position in our country and the world.

  Shropshire is full of history - pupils will explore local as well as world history. They will develop an understanding of our historic area, famous Shropshire people who have had an impact on our World

  Pupils will have opportunities to learn a musical instrument, read music, and perform in concerts, both local and national. 

  

• Physical Education
  Physical Education

  Pupils will have regular daily exercise through our PE Curriculum, which includes The Daily Mile, on our purpose-made track. Pupils will have extended opportunities to learn how to swim. The River Severn is on our doorstep and the ability to swim and be 'WATER AWARE' is invaluable. Our extensive range of extra-curricular clubs promotes team-work, skill development and fitness. 

  

• PSHE
  PSHE

  The Belvidere 6 Rs underpin all our practices and are reflected on regularly. Pupils will explore relaxation techniques through Mindfulness. They will learn how to look and after themselves and stay safe. They will explore the world and debate key issues. We follow the Jigsaw Scheme of Work.

• Religious Studies
  Religious Studies

  Knowledge of Christian Faith and World Faiths underlines our RE curriculum. Pupils will develop respect, knowledge and empathy for themselves and each other. We follow the Shropshire Agreed Syllabus.

  Pupils will develop the ability to investigate and make hypotheses like scientists.  Pupils will learn about the natural world.  The world around them, plants, animals, insects, who live with us. (Biology). They will explore the physical world of forces and energy, Light and electricity  (Physics). They understand actions and reactions, combining materials to create new ones and processes of destruction (Chemistry). Pupils will develop the ability to investigate and make hypotheses like scientists.  Pupils will learn about the natural world.  The world around them, plants, animals, insects, who live with us. (Biology)

  We endeavour to instil a love of reading from day one in the school, through the sharing of books in the nursery, to dedicated reading times and activities throughout the school day and the provision of materials to read at home.
